Interest in OId Mole’s Diary as published in Thanet’s new monthly mag, Thanet Watch, is such that Old Mole (I myself and none other) has been asked to write a more current version of my journal with the help of this new-fangled internet thing.

Unable to disappoint anybody – even if it’s just the man who talks to himself outside Peter’s Fish Factory on Ramsgate sea front – Old Mole has says yes, and so Old Mole’s Blog is born.

From today I am going to offer a Mole’s eye view of Thanet every day – perhaps every second of the day on some days – and as usual I will be concentrating on digging out the happiest gems of island life too often buried by the hurly burly of our ongoing existence.

As a great woman once said, before she sadly went off her head, just rejoice at that news.
